How long have you been in business?
Sewell's Farm was established in 1983 when we first started planting Christmas trees.
What is your primary product or service?
Choose and Cut Christmas trees are our main business offering Fraser Fir, Concolor Fir, Douglas Fir, Canaan Fir, and Norway Spruce. We have trees in the field for cutting up to 10' tall. Our already fresh cut trees from our other farms are in heights up to 22' . We also sell wreaths, roping and greens.
How do you differentiate yourself from other businesses in your category and area?
Our fields of trees are all over the farm, so it is a nice opportunity for the family to walk and enjoy the out of doors and excitement that happens when you find that "perfect" tree. We have some taller trees as well, so we offer services of bringing the tree into the baling area for you so you don't have to drag or carry the tree yourself.

From Frederick, take Route 15 N. to Rt. 140 West exit. (Emmitsburg exit) DRIVE SEVEN, (7) MILES, " this is very important", to the outskirts of Taneytown, and turn left onto Harney Road. Our farm is one half mile on left.

Who owns your company or runs daily operations?
This is a family run business with family members helping during our busy holiday schedule. Started from scratch with Ronnie and Lori Sewell planting the first tree plantations on the farm in 1983.
What are your hours of operation?
Our hours are 9am until 4:30pm daily. Our tree fields close at 4:30 and the farm closes at 5:00pm daily, starting the Saturday BEFORE Thanksgiving.
What is the best compliment anyone can give you?
We had the best Christmas tree we ever had for our family's holiday tradition.
